None. The CSLB does not currently mandate continuing education for the renewal of a C-10 Electrical Contractor license. License renewal is primarily based on paying fees and maintaining a valid bond and workers’ compensation insurance (if applicable). | An active license expires every 2 years. An inactive license expires every 4 years. |
Electrician Trainee (Registered with the DIR) |
No specific CE hours are required. However, to be eligible for renewal, a trainee must demonstrate continued enrollment and attendance in a DIR-approved electrician training program. Renewal is contingent upon remaining in good standing with the approved school. | Registration must be renewed annually, by August 31st of each year. |
