C-10 Electrical Contractor (Licensed by the CSLB)	There are no specific continuing education requirements mandated by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) for the renewal of the C-10 license itself. Important Note: The license qualifier (the person who holds the certification) must still maintain their individual State Electrician Certification with the DIR, which includes the 32-hour CE requirement detailed above. The C-10 license and the individual’s certification are separate.	License must be renewed every 2 years for active status, or every 4 years for inactive status.
Electrical Trainee (Registered with the DIR)	There is no continuing education requirement for the renewal of a trainee registration. To renew, the trainee must provide proof of current enrollment in a DIR-approved electrical training program (e.g., a state-approved apprenticeship program or school).	Registration must be renewed annually.
