This course focuses on the practical application of wiring methods and materials, starting with the essential general requirements found in Article 110. You will review critical safety rules for servicing equipment, maintaining proper working clearances, and executing mandatory job safety planning. The curriculum details specific installation techniques for boxes and conduits, covering box fill calculations, accessibility requirements, and the permitted uses for NM cable and rigid PVC conduit, including necessary expansion fittings.

Moving beyond basic rough-in, the course addresses wiring rules for specialized locations and equipment. You will explore installation standards for luminaires, electric radiant heating panels, and switches, as well as the unique requirements for assembly occupancies and corrosive environments like pool equipment rooms. The training also covers disconnects for electric signs, wiring in elevator raceways, and the separation of communication circuits, providing a clear review of code-compliant installation practices.
